Factory Warranty Coverage Information What is a factory warranty? Virtually all car manufacturers offer a factory warranty on new vehicles. Asked by Markw1952 Dec 20, 2017 at 09:50 PM about the 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 170 WB Extended Passenger Van Question type: General The system is under warranty for 8 years or 80,000 miles. AND, the emissions system is greatly affected by the consumption of DEF.

IF you experienced an excessive amount of DEF consumption, I would greatly advise that you have your emissions system checked. Recently, had all of this work covered under warranty. VERY lucky that Mercedes Benz replaced everything under their own service. Has this happened to you??? Js08016 answered 10 months ago Thanks for sharing that information, Mark!

I'm sure there are many people out there who are unaware of the warranty coverage! I believe the PCM falls under the 8/80 warranty in some applications too. It definitely pays to do your homework on this stuff. We had a situation like that at my job a few years ago with a delivery vehicle. The transmission quit with only 95,000 miles on it and the vehicle was 4 years old. I did some research and discovered that the powertrain was covered by the new vehicle warranty for 5 years or 100,000 miles. Even in commercial usage.
